Some info about me and my family....
As far back as I can remember, I was a baby somewhere really hot in a place called Alabama. My real Mom was only one of a lot of big dogs. I remember a big warm white fluffy pillow that fed me and my real brothers and sisters. There was a really nice man who came to see me every day and cleaned me up. Ever since then, I really like men - they remind me of that nice first "daddy".
Not long after, the man put me in a plastic box with wires called a crate, with paper on the bottom, and took me somewhere strange. The whole thing scared the shit out of me. Literally. I mean, they put me and the crate in this dark place, and really loud noise was suddenly all around me for a really long time. No matter how loud I cried, no one came and got me.
Finally, the noise stopped and someone opened the door. I freaked out! I'd never felt so cold in my life! I guess we must live in the freezer here! I heard voices say we arrived in a place called Philadelphia.
After crying a really long time, my new Mom came to get me. I was really scared, but Samara, my cousin who sometiimes visits, held me tight and kept me warm. When I got home, I met my new sister Quila (a cocker spaniel ), and brother Romeo (a cat). Neither one seemed too excited for me to be there, but I was sure my sweet enthusiastic personality would eventually win them over. I'm still sure it eventually will....

Start of a New Day
Today starts a new day, Mom said. She went to court yesterday because the man who broke in our house was on trial. That's why she adopted me - I'd never let someone hurt my flock! She says I've been doing a great job - my tough girl bark would scare away anyone!
We stayed up late on the front steps, and lots of neighbors came by to congratulate us. The man will have to stay in a crate - hopefully for the rest of his life. I wish they'd let me in with him - he'd be short work for me!
Mom seems more calm now. She said we can move on now. We can stop worrying for her and taking care of her - and she won't be so sad all the time.
I'm excited about this. She can be really fun! In the meantime - I have a new friend Keith who plays with me all the time. He likes me the best - I can tell! He let me stay up with him last night - we got to watch tv together! He takes me for walks, too!
Well, that's all for now - stay cool in this blasted humidity!

WOAH - WHAT'S THIS?
Today is my first stab at creating a blog. I'm not sure this site is dog-user-friendly, but Mom says she'll help if I get stuck.
I recently turned 8 months old on July 5th , so I'm a little clumsy with the paws. I can't understand why I have these big things - they don't seem to fit my body, but then again my body seems kind of big for me, too. I'm glad to have this to play with, I need something to keep my mind interested and Mom says the woodwork is off limits from now on.
I hope to meet some of you out there, there aren't too many of us around here, and maybe I can get some of my Anatolian questions answered. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my pictures and get to know me, I'm sure you'll have a few good laughs!
